Wanda LaClaire

Wanda is an experienced non-traditional education professional. While working at the H.R. MacMillan Planetarium, she designed and implemented hands-on workshops, demos, classroom programs, small stage demo shows, as well as large theatre productions to educate all ages in an exciting and engaging manner. Wanda believes that children learn best while having fun, so she creates games and challenges which encourage creativity and critical thinking while helping students meet the high standards set by KEY. Curiosity and delight in learning new things are a couple of the reasons why Wanda continues her own education, and they are attributes she inspires in her students. As a math educator with a background in astronomy and physics, Wanda likes to demonstrate how math relates to everyday life and deepens our understanding of the world. Wanda developed the Math Concepts and SSAT Math programs to help students at KEY prepare for their school admissions tests.
