Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a PhD in Teaching English as a Second Language. With over 15 years of international experience in countries like Canada, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, and China, he is deeply passionate about exploring the world and its complexities through literature. Sam thrives on designing and delivering courses in diverse formats—whether in-person, online, or hybrid—leveraging platforms like Moodle to create inclusive and dynamic learning environments.
His teaching philosophy fosters higher-order thinking and supports student-paced growth, ensuring learners reach their full potential. Sam also believes in experiential learning, which led him to coach a team in the New York Times Annual Podcast Contest, where they earned a shortlist spot.
Sam has taught a range of prestigious syllabi, including A-Level Cambridge English, IGCSE English, Edexcel English and literature, and IB English and IB English Literature.
